17 Jun 2008 - Community Garden

The Community Garden is taking shape.  One raised bed

has been planted with hebes and petunias and the other

has a rosemary, lavenders, geraniums and blue/silver

salvias.  Six topiary bushes were donated so they have

been planted between the pergola posts.  The climbing

roses are all beginning to flower.

A new entrance path has been laid and also a diamond

shaped seating area has been laid at the end of the

pergola.  The mown area is being kept tidy and the

natural area at the end of the garden, has been left to

grow, with paths mown through to the seats.  Purple orchids

are growing in the long grass.  A working party is in the

garden every Tuesday morning from 10am. and anyone

is welcome to join in.

The same team have completed planting out the summer

bedding in all Kilgetty and Begelly flowerbeds.
