17 Apr 2008 - Fish 'n' chip supper
The fish 'n' chip supper held in St. Mary's Church Hall on Friday evening was attended by forty six
people. Rev. Sarah gave the shortest grace ever, so that everyone could get on with the fish and chips and
this was followed by ice-cream and tea or coffee before the bingo began.
As a starter, each person had a numbered ticket and with everyone standing, Ted George pulled out
the numbers one by one and the holder of that number had to sit down, with the last remaining person standing receiving a prize. Then everyone got down to the business of the evening - the bingo. As usual, this
was accompanied by lots of giggles and comments, resulting in a lot of fun for everyone.
Following the raffle, a few more games were played, with many receiving prizes. A good social evening for all who attended.
